  - Tests basic assign lowering with if/return pattern
  - Expected output: 2 (from then branch with print)
- Smoke: phase128_if_only_partial_assign_normalized_vm.sh
  - Validates output: 2 with exit code 0
  - Dev-only: NYASH_JOINIR_DEV=1 HAKO_JOINIR_STRICT=1
- Result: PASS
